Ampersand Coffee

I stumbled across this place on Yelp because it’d been a while since I tried a new coffee shop. Does anyone else get into a rut of go to coffee shops that you have to force yourself to try a new one? Just me? Cool cool cool cool.

Anyway, originally I thought Ampersand Coffee was a standalone coffee shop that’d be cozy with some great interior decor but it’s actually part of a cute little group of food places. I’m not entirely sure if I can call it a food court or not but it’s definitely similar.

The coffee is strong and because of its location, I could definitely see someone spending a lot of time here. Mostly because it’s connected to a bar, a pizza place, and what appears to be some sort of Asian food. But the decor is adorable and eclectic. Something I wish I could pull off in my own home but I don’t think I’d have the guts to do so.

It’s in the back corner of the area and it seems like something Joanna Gaines from Fixer Upper fame would carve out for somebody. The baristas are friendly and apparently, they just opened a few months ago! So support your new local coffee shops. After all, we all know how much I love shopping locally.

But I came here around 830 or 9 one morning and it’s definitely prime for working — fast internet and not busy at all. I doubt I could say the same for later on in the day.  But I got the vanilla lavender latte and it was delicious! I’ll have to try their drip coffee or matcha next.

The only downside to this place is that they don’t have ‘for here’ cups so I couldn’t be sustainable. But hipster basic problems. At least the cups are recyclable!
